UPDATE: About Me

Well, a lot of things have changed since I last updated my blog back in 2007, I am now a graduate in Bsc Internet and Mutimedia Computing from Roehampton University. During my time at university I studied Bsc Internet and Multimedia Computing. I started my undergraduate degree at Kingston University in September 2006, I then transferred to Roehampton University for my final year of studies in September 2008 after completing year one and two of my undergraduate degree. At present I am studying Msc Interactive Multimedia at Westminster University, which I am to complete in September 2011. I started my Msc in September 2009 straight after I graduated, I have been studying towards my Msc on a part time basis over a period of two years instead of the usual one year.

As I mentioned above I haven’t updated my blog since way back in 2007, yes I know it’s been a long time, however I now intend to update my blog constantly in regards to the process of my learning throughout the course of my studies, meaning the new things I learn, my achievments, goals etc. Basically, I have been told to keep a Log Book for the Research Methods And Professional Practice module that I am taking at university, so I have decided to do this electronically via this blog, which will not only be about this one particular module, but all the modules I am taking at university.

BTW – I passed the module I initially started this blog for, obviously hence me being a graduate, I think I got 68% or something, can’t remember exactly, it seems like such a long time ago.

About Me

My name is Zaineb Khan and I am currently in my 2nd year at Kingston University studying Bsc Information Systems Multimedia.

In my first semester for my Multimedia Design module I have been asked to study Web 2.0. I have been given many assignment for this module, firstly I was given the task of reviewing a Web 2.0 site, for this i decided to do a review on www.bebo.com, i also have given a brief description of what Web 2.0 is. For my second assignment i was asked to create a social networking site using Ning, i created a site based on animals, for people who have a love for animals. The third assignment was to create a website using a mashup editor, i decided to use Yahoo Pipes as it was the easiest for me to use. Then finally for the fourth assignment I was given 2 tasks, one was to read and summarise as many marketing documents specifically regarding Web 2.0, the second was to create a marketing strategy for my Ning site.

I beleive i have successfully completed these tasks, and now am eagerly awaiting the results.
