Bebo is a social networking site where members can connect with old friends and make new friends by sending and receiving messages, they can also share photos, music and videos. Below are screen shots of the main homepage of the bebo website.



In order for a user to become a member of the site, the user would first have to sign up. The user is asked for their first name, last name, date of birth, gender, country and email. The user is then asked to create a password and then a security check is run.

Once this step is completed the user then will edit his or her profile consisting of the basics, a breif paragraph about themselves, favourite things, photographs and so on.

When editing a profile the user can also change the skins or colour of their profile to suit their own personality or style. The user does this by simply clicking on the profile page and choosing the change skins option. Their are many other options to add AIM, Skype, upload profile photos, edit profile, change modules and get a web badge. The main thing a user would do would be to add a friend, the user will first search for his or her friends by email who are registered to Bebo, once they have accepted the friends request they can start communicating with one another.

I myself have never used Bebo before or any other social networking site except for facebook which is alot more complexed than the bebo site. The bebo site is very simple to use especially for the new computer users and also for the advanced users. I followed the step by step guide which is given while creating the profile, the guide is very simple to follow through. I have had no problems while editing my profile information, adding photos, changing skins or adding friends.
Overall I beleive Bebo has been created well and i also beleive the creator has done a very good job of bringing people together, people who I have not seen since I was in high school are on the bebo social networking site. Not only the purpose of the site is good but also its design and structure.
